After you read each book of The Bible, set aside some time to spend with God summarising your highlights.
You can do this by reading through the scriptures you highlighted and writing into your journal or notes a sentence or two that summarises the highlights into your own words.
Take as much time as you need.
Look for patterns or repeated themes.
